We have not received any further communication so now accept his resignation from the role of Puppy Co-ordinator.
We all wish to thank him and Fiona for their many years of service to the Club in various roles and positions on and off the Committee. We wish them and their dogs every success and happiness in whichever direction they decide to take.

Update from the LMC Committee following the Special General Meeting Sunday 12th November 2023
13th November 2023
SGM Sunday 12th November 2023
The Committee thanks everyone for attending and participating in the SGM yesterday. The 17 proposals to adopt the new rules, Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct for Members were discussed during meeting which lasted over 4 hours. Some rules required further wording amendments before voting, but all easily achieved the 51% "Yes" criteria to be passed and accepted.
The next step will be to present the package to the RKC for approval, at which point they will be formally adopted by the club: until that approval is received the current rules, Code of Ethics and Guidelines remain extant.
Draft minutes of the meeting, along with a full record of the proposal voting results, will be posted on the Club web site in due course.

Special General Meeting – 1.30pm Sunday 12th November 2023 - Car Parking and Dogs
There appears to be some confusion over the suitability for dogs at the SGM. To clarify, the building is not suitable for dogs, other than disability dogs. The carpark is a private carpark for the sole use of the Chilterns Neuro Centre. Of course owners can leave their dogs in a car, and that will be at the discretion of the owner, remembering that the meeting may last a couple of hours. The carpark is not security patrolled and members of the public can access the carpark, but this is no different to the vast majority of carparks. One of the two carparks at the Centre is visible from the room being used for the SGM, but would depend on seating layout. The images below will hopefully help members who wish to attend in person to get an idea of the proximity of the carpark to the meeting room.

Just two key points from this meeting:-
- Vicky Wilkins will be planning the next Breed Association Day, likely to be early 2024 located in the north of England. The next BAD in 2025 will be located in the south of England.
- Regarding the proposed LMC New Rules, we still await a response from the Kennel Club which is now delaying the process we had intended to communicate the proposed New Rules in the upcoming Newsletter. Therefore, the next Newsletter will be printed excluding the New Rules but will set out the voting and Special General Meeting process which will follow once we are able to mail the proposed New Rules to all members. We apologise for this delay but feel that it is best to ensure that the KC are comfortable with the proposed rules before we proceed.

6th May 2023
In the last four days a lot has happened within the Club.
On Sunday 30th April at West of England Ladies Kennel Society Championship show, Dr Robert Suchett-Kaye verbally informed four members of the Committee that after a lot of careful thought he had decided to resign from his roles as Chairman and Honorary Secretary to concentrate on other things. He requested that his decision be kept as low key as possible, and also stated that he would be writing to the Committee shortly.
The formal resignation letter was received by the Committee on Tuesday evening. All the Committee and members would wish to thank Dr Robert for his years of dedicated service to the Club in different roles: his vast experience and knowledge will be sorely missed.
The Committee was able to urgently meet via Zoom late on Wednesday evening to discuss implications and decide a way forward. The immediate requirement was to establish new Ex-Officio members: Peter Disney was co-opted as Chairman and Andy Graham as Honorary Secretary, serving until the next AGM when those roles will be subject to elections with terms to align with the usual three-year Ex-Officio rotation.
The Committee was then able to welcome Chris Bargman, Sarah James and Jack Waddington to the team, all have been co-opted onto the Committee and attended their first meeting. Their addition is very much appreciated, and we all look forward to working together in the future.
Clearly with considerable changes, the Committee has a new dimension and has much to discuss, and sort out. There is a strong desire to move the club forward in a positive and purposeful way. Involving and listening to members old and new, and keeping the communications flowing will be important.
Before moving on, the Committee would like to wholeheartedly thank all those who have served on the committee, generously giving up their time and energy supporting the club. The club simply can’t function without such support, so once again – a huge thank you.
Two further matters to share.
Firstly, there are several roles within the committee that are in need of support (which could be done as a member of the committee or not). Further details will follow after the next committee meeting, but in the meantime, if you have some spare time to support the club, and would like to help, please let any committee member know.
Secondly, over the next few months, the Committee will be putting together a “Plan for the future”, this will involve some collaboration and progress will be shared with the membership through regular updates.
The next committee meeting is on 15th May.
