LARGE MUNSTERLANDER CLUB TRAINING DAYS

OF THE BREED

Handlers & Large Munsterlanders at LMC Training Day

Novice Training Days with Rory Major in Horncastle, Lincolnshire

These training days are for novice handlers but not necessarily complete beginners.  If you have a young Large Munsterlander and are interested in competing in Gundog Working Tests or Field Trials; joining a local shoot or just appreciating and working with your dog’s natural talents, one of our novice training days would be a good place to start.

‘For me the day was fantastic, I had an ongoing problem with recall and with Rory's advice I really feel we have turned a corner with this problem. He is an excellent trainer. It was also great to meet other Munsterlander owners and their dogs.’

‘My attitude to my dogs has changed totally. Zak changed from a real handful, to a joy to work with.... My highlights were watching Zak retrieve across water (which he has never done before) and seeing him sit to a bolting rabbit....’

Beginners’ (Have-a-Go) Gundog Training Days

These days were designed for complete beginners.

We held two well received gundog training ‘Have-a-Go’ days in Spilsby nr Lincs and were heartened to see so many new faces.

The concept of these days was for experienced Large Munsterlander owners to offer their expertise and give complete beginners an insight into HPR work, making gundog training more accessible and less daunting.

We hoped that members who came to these days would then have the courage to enter our Natural Aptitude Days or attend one of our more advanced training days.
